Courts of Flesh

The Courts of Flesh, are the lowest of the courts in the Legions of the Shadowlands. Each of these courts are mostly composed of ghouls, with the nobles of the court being made up largely of gheists. Each court is led by a gheist monarch. Each Court of Flesh is granted their own territory on the fringes of the Shadowlands, and independent functions in war as they are viewed as unworthy of being led by one of the Higher Courts, that being said monarchs are permitted in the Dark Lord's war councils, though most other members of the Courts of Flesh will not be permitted entry to most regions of the Shadowlands outside the domains of their particular court. Courts of Flesh in the armies of the Legions often fight with great ferocity and fervour as they try to prove their superiority over the more highly ranked courts.
Some of the mortal folk who serve in the legions choose to join the Courts of Flesh, as while they will never be highly ranked in the legions as a while, the Courts of Flesh are considered easier to obtain higher rank in, something that is not completely true. If they do gain the attention and regard of the monarch, they may grant the gift of their abyssal nature to the mortal.
