Changelings

Changelings are the descendants of doppelgangers. Creatures created by the Dark Lord to infiltrate the Five Kingdoms and cause chaos. Changelings are not instinctively evil for unlike their ancestor they have free will. They are treated just like every other child, and while they like all others are capable of hearing the Song of Discord, most changelings are productive members of society. Even so it is rare to see a changeling in their natural form, it is far more common to see them in a casual mask, a form created on a spur of the moment.
While there are changelings living across all Five Kingdoms, a larger number an be found in the regions bordering the Shadowlands, especially in the Kingdoms of Mystria and Thalavis.
