History
With both the first and second pantheons there was some mingling between divine and mortal and the children of these results would sometimes display more specific attributes of their divine parentage. These children would become known as the Aasimar.
In more recent times it is more common to find an aasimar with an ancestry tied to the kingdom of Thalavis, they can be found in other kingdoms without such ties. In some cases it is said children destined for a great gift or a pregnancy encouraged by a deity may lead to the birth of an Aasimar.
It is told that in the days of the first pantheon there were many more aasimar and that they formed many of the holy warriors who fought against the first Shadowmarch. It is also said that when the first pantheon was felled by the Dark One, that the link to their ancestors corrupted them, as that link became a bottomless void that still effects some young aasimar to this day. These aasimar tend to be more spiteful, quick to anger and isolate themselves from society.
