It's possible, on Mater's Path, to go from apprentice to Starblade, as many Stoneburners stay there.

Accoutrements & Equipment

Those who hold this rank use the distinctive weapon of the same name rather than the more traditional kaneth utilized by the rest of the Sisterhood. They are, of course, trained to use both weapons but those who achieve this rank are the only ones who are permitted to use and carry this weapon. Even after promotion to the rank of Firedancer they may continue to use it if they wish.
