Dragonriders
Structure
The dragonriders are divided up into three camps known as Lasha’etall or Dragonholds. Most people simply refer to them as Holds. These are located on Dulanenn, Xuwenn, and An'taha in order of founding. Each Hold follows the same command structure.
At the head are the Lasha’tosaga or Dragonleaders
Lasha’tevarra or DragonMistress
Lasha’severni or DragonMaster
In many cases, this is a married couple, but not always. They both have a Lasha’kovai or Dragonsecond to assist them
The Holds also have a council made up of the most senior riders. There are at least 5 riders that form this group that don't include the four riders mentioned above.
Holds also send out emissaries to the other Holds so that everyone is kept apprised of the situations in other parts of Alastea. Holds have two of these emissaries at any one time, one from each other Hold.
Other positions:
Watchriders, patrol, transport riders, messenders, hunters, healers, singers
There is a person in charge of domestic management, but this position is usually filled by a non-rider
Public Agenda
As with their mainland counterparts, they serve to protect the people from dangers, such as wyvern attacks. Unlike the Dragonlords, they don't act as a system of government for the islands. Each individual town is responsible for their own governance.
History
Some of the humans and Vaen who made the journey to Alastea were dragonriders. Much to their surprise, the island chain was already populated by dragons and wyvern. The Alastean dragons welcomed their mainlander cousins after some initial mistrust.
