Birth & Baptismal Rites
Natural birth has gone out of fashion in this modern day. Because of magic and technology, all that's needed to create a baby is some stem cells from two parents. The DNA gets spliced together by nature clerics and circle of science druids and the parents can pick from different options such as a variety of skin pigments, iris colors, hair colors, the length of ears, facial shape, build, form, gender and even some mental capabilities like enhanced memory, intelligence, etc. There is a standard procedure of gene editing that all unborn babies are encouraged and, in some cases, made to by law undergo which eliminates a multitude of genetic disabilities and health hazards. Eellians are healthier and live a lot longer with way fewer biological dysfunctions as one advances in age. However, this has created a social stigma against disabled people. However, there are still more people who identify as female then people who identify as male in high positions of political or economic power.
Courtship Ideals
Nature's way is how Eellia describe love. Marriage was never really a thing that was invented. The idea of gifting a person to another person as a means of settling a business deal was seen as foolish and not as valuable as say, knowledge or resources. There isn't a very defined ideal of a relationship or courtship ritual, there's also no stigma around sex. You literally walk up to someone u find attractive and ask them if they wanna fuck. Yes, No, Maybe after a date or two, or if you're willing to pay are the typical responses you might get.
