For centuries before, as a result of the human ascension and their rising gods, the gods and mortals waged war amongst themselves, until finally the major civilized races agreed to a general concord, establishing peace and relative harmony between them.

For centuries during the human ascension, the gods and mortals waged war amongst themselves, until finally the major civilized races agreed to a general concord, establishing peace and relative harmony between them. The initial members of the Concord were representatives from the major human, dwarven, and elven kingdoms of the day. While many of the powers included in the initial Concord have faded from history, the legacy of the Concordance has spread throughout Kethencia, and recognition of its general principles has brought a general state of stability and civility to Kethencia.
