The agreement between Gawain "the good" and Balian Brokenshield which stipulated that Clan Brokenshield would find refuge indefinitely in Whiteport and would always be allowed a representative on Whiteport's small council, and in exchange Clan Brokenshield would swear fealty to the Dukes of Whiteport
