A small 5x5 foot square cloth. When thrown on the ground, it expands the next round into a 30 foot deep and 15 foot wide pit trap, disguised to look like the terrain it was placed on. A creature can successfully discern the trap with a DC 14 Investigation or Perception check, or avoid it with a DC 14 Dexterity saving throw. Once a creature has fallen into the pit, the DC decreases by 2 per creature inside the pit. 
A creature in the pit's radius when it expands can avoid the trap's expansion on a DC 12 saving throw, falling into the trap on a fail or moving to the closest point outside the trap on a success, and gaining advantage on checks to discern the trap's boundaries.
Creatures falling into the pit take 2d10 2d10 points of piercing damage from the spikes below and 3d6 3d6 bludgeoning damage from the fall.
