Sir Emon Stonevalor
Protector/ Sir Emon Stonevalor (a.k.a. Emon the Elder)
Sir Emon is a member of the of the Order of the Shield, a holy order of knights dedicated to defending the innocent and preserving peace. He has served in the order for almost 50 years and is nearing his 70th birthday. He remains fairly poor, having foregone luxury to better serve the poor, and is a source of wise counsel and experience. Although he remains a competent fighter, his age has slowed him and he prefers to advise and use his impressive reputation to assist rather than to join the fight nowadays.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Emon is in fairly good physical condition for his age, and he often brags that as long as he can bear the weight of his armor, he can help others shoulder their burden. When he is first discovered in Cragmaw cavern, he is a bit worse for wear, having broken his leg in his fall from his horse and with a serious gash in his forehead. However, he is eager to get back into the saddle and believes he will heal quickly.
Facial Features
Emon has thin grey hair and a grey and white beard which wraps around his mouth. His nose has been broken once or twice, but his face conveys a certain dignity and thoughtfulness.
Physical quirks
Emon walks with a limp as a result of his broken leg. He also groans whenever standing or sitting.
Apparel & Accessories
Emon wears a simple White tabard over his armor.
Specialized Equipment
Emon wears a battered set of plate armor and carries a long spear. Most apparently, he carries a thick oak heater shield covered with an iron sheet and painted white. Much like Emon, his shield is worn and nicked in places, and in some spots the paint has begun to chip.

Personal history
Emon joined the Order of the Shield almost fifty years ago and hasn't looked back since then. He has seen the horrors of war, and in his time with the order he has served on campaigns throughout Attica until coming to Attica during the Drakehoff Terror and settling in Whiteport in its aftermath with the local chapter of the Order of the Shield. He frequently serves as a diplomat or mediator, and has a strong reputation as a negotiator.

Emon is currently a protector in the Order of the Shield. This is the only job he's ever held, although he grew up on a farm before serving as a squire for a wandering knight in the Order.
