Belenos, God of Life, Fertility, and Youth
Divine Domains
Belenos is the god of life and fertility, and is often associated with crops and agriculture, and the cycles of nature. As the god of life and fertility, Belenos' devotees are naturally inclined towards the Life and Nature domains of magic, and it is not uncommon to see druids who serve as disciples of Belenos. In fact, many farms and villages employ these traveling druids in order to secure a prosperous harvest. Belenos also lends his support to those who follow the Trickery domain. Finally, Belenos is frequently associated with Spring, and his divine month, Belenar, is the fifth of the year.
Holy Books & Codes
As part of the twelve, Belenos' followers ascribe to the laws set down in the Twelve Points. However, Belenos' followers also abide by an additional code, called the Beli Mauer, a set of laws which Belenos' most devoted followers called the Gardeners follow.
Divine Symbols & Sigils
Belenos is often depicted as a young man wearing a woven cloak of leaves and grasses, and he is frequently symbolized as a stallion or by a bushel of wheat. He frequently wears a thick fur coat, or a mantel of still growing flowers.
Tenets of Faith
The priests, clerics, druids, and devotees of Belenos all follow the Twelve Points, with particular emphasis on Belenos' Law, in a code called the Beli Mauer. These rules are an expansion of Belenos' Law; thou shall not corrupt nature. They swear to maintain the balance between civilization and wilderness, protect the land from those who would corrupt it and violate the natural balance, prevent famine and pestilence, heal the land's scars, and
Holidays
Belenos' holy month is Belenar.
Divine Goals & Aspirations
Belenos' divine goals are one of the simplest of the gods, as he simply seeks harmony between civilization and nature, the continued prosperity and security of nature and the harvest. While these goals are simple in theory, they are much harder to maintain in practice. While Belenos' interference in mortal affairs is minimal, he is most present in the small magics which mortals employ which secure a successful harvest, the end of a sickness, or enough coin
