The wilds of thunder

In the region of Vaport, there is a rather large forest known as the thundering forest. A deafening place, continuously struck by thunder and lightning. Many tell tales of the things that lurk within, insisting that horror can be found within its branches. No doubt the locals believe this to be nonsense, however, tourists cannot help but be intrigued by such tales.
For example, there is the tale of the wild fire, and though its name can be deceiving, it is actually about a sentient glob of fire that haunts those who set foot in the thundering forest.
As well as this, there's the tale of the thunder tree, a tree that is supposedly the cause of the thundering forests' thunderous nature. Most tales can be debunked, or are simply so farfetched that there's no chance of it being real.
