Seeds sown in Death
Gourdkin are a Woodgrown people with a unfortunate drawback, you see other woodgrown species grow their seeds externally and thus can plant them in life, but the Gourdkin seeds are internal and thus are only planted after the Gourdkin passes. This means two things, one a Gourdkin never meets their parent, and thus treats their Gardener as such, and two a gourdkin's body must be recovered after death for the species to flourish. This would be less difficult for the species if their seeds weren't incredibly medicinal to Stoneborn, Wildborn, and Feyborn. These species might seek out Gourdkin seeds in desperation said to be able to cure any ailment. As it is, the Gourdkin need harvest the seeds of their fallen in secret, a hunt they call "the quiet harvest".
