Laws of Okran


There are eight primary "Laws of Okran" that are to be followed by all who bask in his holy light.

The Law of Faith
-Worship of Okran is mandatory, all residents and visitors must attend weekly sermons. Failing to do so will result in immediate Rebirth.
 
-Heretical speech or actions, including blasphemy against Okran or questioning the authority of the Lord Phoenix, will result in public penance or execution.
  -Possession of forbidden texts or symbols of non-Okran worship is punishable by confiscation and imprisonment. Symbols of Narko will result in death.
The Law of Purity
-Non-humans, Hivers, Shek, and Skeletons, are agents of darkness. Any found will be arrested, enslaved, or executed.
  -The use or possession of advanced technology, including ancient relics, is forbidden. Violators will face immediate trial for heresy.
  -Clothing or equipment deemed indecent or offensive to Okran’s teachings is not allowed, violators will face imprisonment.
The Law of Order
-Theft, assault, or murder will result in immediate judgment by the Inquisitors and punishment ranging from forced labor to death.
  -Weapons must be peace-bound while within civilization unless granted an exemption.
 
-Curfew is enforced at sundown. Anyone found outside their residence or authorized lodging without proper cause will be detained as an agent of Narko.
The Law of Trade
-All trade conducted within the Holy Nation must pay a tithe to the Church of Okran.
 
-Merchants must declare their goods upon entry. Smuggling or trading in contraband (Skeleton parts, forbidden relics, or blasphemous items) is punishable by forfeiture of goods and imprisonment.
 
-Prices for essential goods, including food and medical supplies, are regulated to ensure fairness.
The Law of Loyalty
-Speaking ill of The Lord Phoenix, the Holy Nation, or its laws, is considered treason and punished by imprisonment or exile.
  -Harboring fugitives, outlaws, or heretics is punishable by death.
  -Every citizen and visitor must cooperate with the Holy Army and report suspicious activity.
The Law of Vigilance
-All able-bodied residents must answer the call to defend the Holy Flame.
  -Trespassing in restricted areas is punishable by immediate arrest. Trespassing near the Holy Flame is punishable by death.
  -Failure to comply with Paladin orders is seen as an act of rebellion and will result in immediate imprisonment.
The Law of Hospitality
-Travelers seeking refuge must first declare their intentions and are subject to questioning by the Holy Army.
  -Those who seek to enter without a valid reason or appear to be fleeing justice will be denied entry or detained.
  -Hunger is a disease of Narko's design and cannot be allowed to fester. All deserve a full stomach, heretic or not. Skeletons do not hunger, blatant agents of Narko.
The Law of Judgment
-All judgments are final. Trials are conducted swiftly by the Inquisitors, and appeals are rarely permitted.
  -Punishments include public penance, enslavement, forced labor, execution, and rebirth, depending on the severity of the crime.
  -Those who defy judgment or attempt to escape punishment will be declared heretics and hunted without mercy.
