Grey Desert

The Grey Desert is aptly named for it's vast dunes of grey sand consisting of a mix of basalt and crushed coral, likely evidence of a body of water once filling it's valleys. This region is mostly barren and is claimed by no formal seats of power. It is a common "backdoor" into Black Desert City without having to enter Skinner's Roam and risk a run in with the Holy Nation. Grayflayers are suspected to smuggle drugs and other black market goods through this region.

Fauna & Flora

Flora

Cacti: One of the few types of vegetation you might find in the Grey Desert are cacti. These plants are adapted to store water and can survive long periods of drought.
Scrub Bushes: Occasionally, small, tough bushes can be found. These plants have deep root systems to access water from beneath the surface.

Fauna

Bonedog: These are common in many regions of Kenshi, including the Grey Desert. They are ferocious pack hunters and can pose a significant threat to unwary travelers.
Garru: Large, herbivorous beasts of burden that are sometimes found wandering the desert. They are valuable for their ability to carry large loads and for their meat and hides.
River Raptor: Occasionally found near any water sources or in slightly more hospitable fringes of the desert, these creatures are generally herbivorous but can be aggressive if provoked.
