Taizan Fukun no Sai

  • Level: 9th-level Necromancy (or Conjuration, DM's discretion)
  • School: Necromancy/Conjuration
  • Casting Time: 10 minutes
  • Range: Touch
  • Components: V, S, M (a sacred tablet inscribed with the name of Taizan Fukun, powdered gold worth 5,000 gp, and a ceremonial offering to the spirit world)
  • Duration: Instantaneous
  •   Description: Channeling the legendary power of Taizan Fukun, you perform a grand ritual to save the life of a dying creature or restore a dead creature to life. The target must have been dead for no longer than 10 days. Upon completion of the ritual, the target is fully restored, returning to life with all hit points, cured of all diseases, curses, poisons, and debilitating conditions (including petrification or lost limbs). The creature also regains its maximum hit points, undoing any effects that reduced its hit point maximum.   This powerful spell goes beyond mere resurrection; it bends fate and calls upon the highest spirits of the underworld and celestial planes to alter destiny. However, such intervention comes at a cost: the caster is subject to a 1d4 level reduction (which cannot be restored through any means except a divine intervention or another casting of Taizan Fukun’s Grace). This cost represents the weight of altering life and death.   Special Effects: At the DM's discretion, invoking the power of Taizan Fukun may draw the attention of celestial spirits, underworld guardians, or karmic forces. This attention may result in quests, boons, or spiritual trials for the caster or the resurrected creature.
