  • 9th Beacon of Hope, Devotional Wrath

    Devotional Chant

At 3rd level, you learn to empower your voice through sacred chants. As a bonus action, you can begin a chant that lasts for 1 minute or until you are incapacitated. While chanting:
  • Allies within 30 feet of you gain temporary hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of 1) at the start of their turns.
  • You can spend 1 Karma Point to grant all affected allies advantage on their next attack roll or saving throw before the start of your next turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once) and regain all expended uses after a long rest.
  •

    Lotus Invocation

At 6th level, your chants can invoke the protective power of the lotus. When you or an ally within 30 feet of you takes damage, you can use your reaction to create a protective barrier of radiant energy, reducing the damage by 2d10 + your Wisdom modifier. If the barrier reduces the damage to 0, the attacker takes radiant damage equal to the amount prevented. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Wisdom modifier (minimum of once) and regain all expended uses after a long rest.

    Resounding Mantra

At 10th level, your voice carries the power of divine resonance. As an action, you can chant a resounding mantra that affects all enemies within 30 feet. Each enemy must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC. On a failed save, the creature is frightened and suffers disadvantage on attack rolls and saving throws while within the aura of your chant for 1 minute. The creature can repeat the saving throw at the end of each of its turns, ending the effect on a success. Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a short or long rest.

    Karmic Resonance

At 14th level, your chants reach their full potential, creating a field of karmic energy that empowers and protects your allies. As an action, you can spend 5 Karma Points to create a 30-foot-radius aura centered on yourself for 1 minute. While the aura is active:
  • Allies within the aura gain advantage on all attack rolls, saving throws, and skill checks.
  • Allies who deal damage within the aura regain hit points equal to half the damage dealt.
  • Enemies within the aura must make a Wisdom saving throw against your spell save DC at the start of their turns or become incapacitated for 1 round as they are overwhelmed by karmic retribution. Once you use this feature, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
  •

Sutra Invocation: Sutra of the Devout Heart

When you choose the Path of Nichiren’s Devotion at 3rd level, you gain access to the Sutra of the Devout Heart.   Sutra of the Devout Heart As an action, you can recite this sutra to empower yourself and all allies within 30 feet. For 1 minute, all affected creatures gain the following benefits:
  • Resistance to radiant and necrotic damage.
  • Advantage on Wisdom and Charisma saving throws.
  • Each time they deal damage with a weapon or spell attack, they deal an additional 1d6 radiant damage. Once you use this Sutra Invocation, you cannot do so again until you finish a short or long rest.
