Kami Medium

Your phantom is a kami you worship and serve as a host for and in return the kami fights on your behalf and empowers you.  

Divine Protection

At 5th level the kami grants you and your allies protection from malevolent forces, channeling its divine power through you.
  • Sacred Ward: Your Phantom emits a 10-foot-radius aura that grants you and allies within the aura resistance to necrotic damage and advantage on saving throws against being charmed or frightened.
  • Kami’s Shield: When your Phantom takes damage, you can use your reaction to reduce the damage taken by an amount equal to your Charisma modifier + your level (minimum of 1). This feature can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.

    Purifying Presence

    At 9th level the kami's power purifies the battlefield, removing harmful effects and weakening foes.
  • Cleansing Ritual: As an action, your Phantom can cleanse a 20-foot-radius area centered on itself, ending all poisoned, cursed, and diseased conditions affecting creatures of your choice within the area. This feature can be used once per short or long rest.
  • Banishment Strike: When your Phantom hits a creature with a melee attack, you can choose to expend a use of this ability to force the target to make a Charisma saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Charisma modifier). On a failed save, the creature is banished to a harmless demiplane for 1 minute or until it succeeds on a saving throw at the end of each of its turns.

    Kami’s Blessing

    At 15th level your bond with the kami deepens, allowing you to channel their blessings more frequently and with greater potency.
  • Empowered Blessings: As an action, your Phantom can grant temporary hit points equal to 3d8 + your Charisma modifier to you and all allies within a 20-foot radius. These temporary hit points last for 1 hour.
  • Sacred Flame: When your Phantom strikes a creature, you can choose to have it engulf the target in sacred flames, dealing 4d8 radiant damage and causing the target to glow with divine light. While glowing, the target has disadvantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks and attack rolls against you and your allies for 1 minute. This can be used once per long rest.

    Manifest Kami’s Domain

    At 18th level your Phantom fully manifests its divine presence, creating a sacred domain that empowers your allies and punishes your enemies.
  • Kami’s Domain: As an action, your Phantom creates a 30-foot-radius sacred domain centered on itself that lasts for 1 minute. While within the domain:
  • Allies gain advantage on all saving throws and resistance to all damage.
  • Hostile creatures must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Charisma modifier) at the start of each of their turns or be incapacitated until the start of their next turn.
  • Healing and Blessings: You and your allies regain 2d10 hit points at the start of each of your turns while within the domain.
  • Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.
