Amphibious. The Kaeru can breathe both air and water.
Standing Leap. The Kaeru’s long jump is 30 feet, and its high jump is 15 feet, with or without a running start.
Unbreakable Flesh. Gama has advantage on saving throws against being shoved, grappled, or restrained (except by magical means).
Tongue Snare. The Kaeru’s tongue is prehensile and has a reach of 20 feet. It can be used to grapple a creature without using his hands. A grappled creature is pulled 10 feet closer at the start of each of its turns while grappled. The tongue has AC 15 and HP equal to half of the Kaeru's total HP (57). If destroyed, Gama cannot use it again until he finishes a short or long rest.

Actions

Multiattack. The Kaeru makes two attacks: one with his Spear and one with his Tongue Snare, or two with his Spear.
Spear. Melee or Ranged Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 5 ft. or range 20/60 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6+4) piercing damage. If the attack is made at melee range, the target must succeed on a DC 14 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone.
Tongue Snare (Grapple Attack). Melee Weapon Attack: +6 to hit, reach 20 ft., one creature. Hit: The target is grappled (escape DC 14). Until the grapple ends, the target is restrained, and the Kaeru cannot use his tongue on another target.
Swallow Whole (Recharge 5-6). Gama attempts to swallow a grappled creature of size Medium or smaller. The target must make a DC 14 Dexterity save or be swallowed, becoming blinded and restrained, taking 11 (2d6 + 4) acid damage at the start of each of Gama’s turns.

The Kaeru cannot attack with his spear while a creature is swallowed.

The swallowed creature can attack the Kaeru from inside, targeting AC 15. If it deals 20 damage in one turn, the Kaeru regurgitates the creature prone within 10 feet.

If the Kaeru drops to 0 HP, any swallowed creature is freed.

Bonus Actions

Grappler’s Fortitude (1/Turn). If the Kaeru has a creature grappled or swallowed, he gains temporary HP equal to his CON modifier + 4 (7 HP).
Leaping Strike. The Kaeru jumps up to 20 feet as part of his movement and makes a Spear attack. If he lands within 5 feet of an enemy, he may attempt to shove them prone as a free action.

Reactions

Tongue Deflection. If a ranged attack targets Gama, he may lash out with his tongue as a reaction, making a Tongue Snare attack against the projectile or the attacker. If the attack hits, the projectile is deflected harmlessly, and Gama may pull the attacker 10 feet closer.
