Your phantom is a skeletal visiage of death that protects you
Deathly Aegis
At 5th level your Phantom transforms into a skeletal guardian, shielding you from harm and retaliating against those who dare strike.
Bone Armor: When your Phantom is summoned, it manifests as a skeletal shield around you, granting you +2 AC while it is active.
Grim Retaliation: When you or your Phantom are hit by a melee attack, you can use your reaction to cause bone spikes to erupt from your Phantom, dealing 2d6 necrotic damage to the attacker. This damage increases to 3d6 at 11th level. This ability can be used a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
Warden of Reikai
At 9th level your Phantom’s connection to death deepens, allowing it to protect and punish with the power of the underworld.
Spectral Warding: Allies within 15 feet of your Phantom gain resistance to necrotic damage and have advantage on saving throws against being frightened.
Grasping Bones: As an action, your Phantom can create spectral hands that grasp at enemies in a 20-foot-radius sphere centered on it. Enemies in the area must make a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Charisma modifier) or be restrained for 1 minute. Restrained creatures can make another saving throw at the end of each of their turns to end the effect. This ability can be used once per short or long rest.
Ossified Barrier
At 15th level your Phantom can manifest a barrier of bone and spiritual energy, shielding you and your allies from harm.
Bone Fortress: As an action, your Phantom creates a 20-foot-radius dome of skeletal walls centered on itself. The dome has HP equal to 10 times your level and grants total cover from outside attacks and spells. Allies within the dome gain temporary hit points equal to your Charisma modifier + half your level at the start of each of their turns. The dome lasts for 1 minute or until destroyed. This ability can be used once per long rest.
Reaper’s Glare: While within the Bone Fortress, your Phantom can make a frightening gaze attack once per turn, forcing one creature within 60 feet to make a Wisdom saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Charisma modifier). On a failed save, the creature is frightened until the end of your next turn.
Death’s Guardian
At 18th level your Phantom becomes a true embodiment of death’s protection, warding off even the most powerful foes.
Guardian of Souls: As an action, your Phantom expands into a towering skeletal warden, granting all allies within 30 feet immunity to necrotic damage and resistance to all other damage types for 1 minute.
Deathly Retribution: While Guardian of Souls is active, whenever you or an ally within 30 feet of your Phantom takes damage, your Phantom can retaliate by unleashing a wave of necrotic energy. All enemies within 30 feet must make a Constitution saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + Charisma modifier) or take 6d8 necrotic damage (half on a successful save). This ability can only be used once per activation.
Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.
