Circle of Blossoms

Circle of Blossoms

Druids of the Circle of Blossoms embody the beauty, resilience, and transformative power of flowers, drawing inspiration from iconic Japanese flora such as the cherry blossom, lotus, and chrysanthemum. These druids wield the essence of blooms to heal allies, protect the innocent, and bring forth nature's wrath upon their foes. By nurturing powerful petals, creating protective floral barriers, and summoning storms of blossoms, they reveal both the serene grace and fierce might of nature. For them, every bloom tells a story of life, transience, and renewal, woven into the fabric of their magic.

    Blooming Touch

At 2nd level you can channel the rejuvenating and protective power of flowers through your magic.
  • Healing Petals: As an action, you can touch a creature and cause flowers to bloom upon them, restoring hit points equal to 1d8 + your Wisdom modifier. At higher levels, this healing increases: 2d8 at 6th level, 3d8 at 10th level, and 4d8 at 14th level.
  • Petal Shield: As a reaction when you or an ally within 30 feet is hit by an attack, you can summon a flurry of petals that grant a temporary +2 bonus to AC until the start of your next turn. You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus per long rest.
  •

    Floral Ward

At 6th level you can call upon the protective power of flowers to shield allies and entangle enemies.
  • Blossom Barrier: As an action, you create a 20-foot-radius circle of flowers and vines centered on a point you can see within 60 feet. The barrier lasts for 1 minute or until you lose concentration (as if concentrating on a spell). While within the barrier, you and allies gain temporary hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier at the start of each of their turns.
  • Ensnaring Blossoms: Enemies that enter or start their turn within the circle must succeed on a Strength saving throw (DC = 8 + proficiency bonus + your Wisdom modifier) or be restrained by blossoming vines. Restrained creatures can make another saving throw at the end of each of their turns to escape.
  •

    Seasonal Bloom

At 10th level you gain the ability to channel your power through iconic seasonal flowers, each reflecting a unique aspect of Japanese culture.
  • Sakura (Cherry Blossom): Summon a shower of sakura petals in a 30-foot radius. Allies within the area gain advantage on saving throws and recover 1d8 hit points at the start of each of their turns. Lasts for 1 minute or until concentration ends.
  • Kiku (Chrysanthemum): Create an aura of chrysanthemum blooms that grants resistance to necrotic and psychic damage to all allies within 20 feet of your Phantom.
  • Lotus (Ren): Target an ally or yourself, encasing the target in a lotus bloom that absorbs half damage from all sources for 1 minute. Once used, this feature cannot be used again until you finish a short or long rest.
  •

    Petal Storm

At 14th level you can conjure a devastating storm of blossoms and thorns, embodying both beauty and lethal force.   As an action, you summon a 40-foot-radius storm of petals, thorns, and floral magic centered on a point you can see within 120 feet. The storm lasts for 1 minute or until you lose concentration (as if concentrating on a spell). While active:
  • Enemies in the area take 5d8 slashing or piercing damage at the start of their turns and have disadvantage on all attack rolls and ability checks.
  • Allies within the area gain advantage on all saving throws and temporary hit points equal to your Wisdom modifier at the start of their turns.
  • Once you use this feature, you cannot do so again until you finish a long rest.
