The Ciba
The Ciba are the friendly giants of the Mysum world, growing to be a couple feet tall. They get along well with other species of Kelunbar, except for rodents, who find them to be quite tasty.
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Ciba are large, gilled, and cream-colored. They turn whiter with age. (Much to the annoyance of The Ekon, who value lighter colors.)
Ecology and Habitats
The Ciba are found all over Kelunbar Forest, but prefer to stay close to rivers and lakes, where the ground is more damp.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They aren't picky, and pretty much consume almost any sort of plant matter on the ground, which contributes to their large size.
Biological Cycle
Unlike other Mysums, who retreat underground in the Death and Rest seasons, the Ciba hibernate instead. Their size is simply too large to tunnel. Come the Death season, Ciba find an old stump or large tree to hide in or burrow under, and sleep there until the Birth season.

An average Ciba Tribe consists of 5-10 Mysums. Usually several smaller Ciba follow around a larger one.

The Ciba value size. The bigger, the better.

Ciba will used sharpened sticks to defend themselves against rodents.
Major Language Groups and Dialects
The Ciba typically communicate with other species more than other Mysums do, and may have more knowledge of other dialects of Kelunbar, though they still can't speak any of the harsher sounds that come with them.
Common Etiquette Rules
Ciba take on a bit of a "Don't bother anyone who doesn't bother you" approach to life. A few are more social and happy to engage in polite conversation with other tribes or species, and if someone else beings a conversation they are generally happy to participate.
Common Dress Code
The Ciba are more inclined than other Mysums to be decorated in some way, and usually have some sort of lichen, moss, or vine that grows on them.
Interspecies Relations and Assumptions
The Ciba hate rodents and The Skee more than any other Mysum tribe. The Ciba are tasty and edible to moles, mice, rats, squirrels, chipmunks, and whatever else wanders through the forest.
Beyond that, they are friendly with other tribes who are friendly with them, and have neutral or friendly relationships with the other species of Kelunbar, barring the Sirens.
