Mica

This common mineral generally goes unnoticed by the people of Kelunbar. It is common, easily found in the small caves and various rock formations spread throughout the forest. Most passersby may merely notice its pleasant gleam and shimmery texture. Not so for the agam who has made it his life purpose to collect this substance.

Agam Nests

An agam's nest is almost always full of its collection of mica pieces. These shiny rocks seem to have a relaxing, almost hypnotic, effect on these wyverns and in rare cases they will even eat mica. The safest time to stumble upon an agam nest is after they have ingested some of this mineral and are lost in a hallucinogenic experience.   If an agam ingests mica, they often save the feces containing it near enough to be guarded, but not near enough to be offensive. Eventually the scat breaks down and the mica remains so it may be returned to the wyvern's collection.
I once had the chance to discuss mica with an old agam who I had unexpectedly become friends with. He said that ingesting mica allowed him to meet his god and that the visions he had were much more pleasurable than anything on this earth. I tried to eat mica myself after this conversation, and all I got was a heavy, unpleasant feeling in my body for days.

Honor

The amount of respect that an agam has to others of its species directly correlates to the amount of mica that she has collected. It is also nearly unthinkable to steal from a live agam's nest, and if accused of or caught doing such, agams will often unite to kill the offender.   Of course, this leaves room for false accusation, and occasionally an agam may accuse another of this heinous crime in response to a much smaller grudge. Most agams agree it is best to remain as solitary as possible to avoid these tussles.

Old Nests

In the rare case an agam stumbles upon an old tree etchings, he may have the chance to loot an old agam's nest. This is a dangerous operation, as it is likely that another wyvern may have also discovered this bounty, and the agam may have to take a considerable several trips to move the dead agam's trove to its new home. Vicious and lethal battles have often been fought over claiming the contents of an old nest.

This lightweight mineral doesn't seem to have any other uses and is taken for granted by the rest of the forest. Occasionally skee have tried to decorate with its glittery shavings, but it attracted too many greedy and destructive agam to their villages.

Location

It is found naturally in caves and in various rock deposits. There is an especially large deposit in a cave system near Lake Kublo, but an agam may have to risk leaving its nest unattended for several days, and there is likely at least other wyverns there with the same idea.   A few agam have tried to claim these caves as their territory, but this endeavor almost always leads to the death of this wyvern, and there is little honor in being unable to maintain one's horde in life.

The quote in the middle made me laugh. Poor guy who tried to eat the mica. I guess wyverns have a different digestive system that reacts differently. :)
