Background Story: Veruun is the Supreme God. All gods answer to him and holds all gods accountable for their realms that he has chosen them to master. Veruun has recently begun to open more magical powers upon the mortals. He favors the elves due to their patience and longevity. Veruun has also recently planted the seeds for mortals to make their own magical devices.
Achievements: The only god to be the Supreme God.
Worshipping: Priests of Veruun are expected to provide the knowledge on magical instruction to the enlighted ones. He also expects the priests and clergy to rein in any magically touched beings that may stray too far from the magical law tenets. The only shrine to Veruun is actually inside Haeknyce, School Of Wizards
Precepts: All followers must pray to the stars each night if able to do so. The first born of each follower must attend the magic college at Haeknyce, School Of Wizards You must hunt down any of the unchosen magic users if known.
Omens and Signs: Shooting star Shimmering Mirage Intense electrical storms
Artifacts: Veruun has no known artifacts as he prefers to let mortals and Gods create their own items and artifacts.
Ceremonies/Holidays: Storm Day- On this day all wizards are expected to shoot bolts of magic energy into the sky to show that Veruun is the almighty. Trinket day – On this day Veruun expects all followers to attempt to make magical items Reverence day – On this day he expects all followers to shun the other gods and make no mention of their names
Sects:
Inquisitors of Veruun – This Sect is responsible for investigation acts of witchcraft or unlawful use of magic. Wilreich Wilricus is a Paladin who runs this sect. Wilreich is 5’11, reddish brown hair, and is notably dressed in a royal blue suit of armor. Their alignment is LN. “All witches must be put to death!” Each month each inquisitor is responsible for sending a report detailing his investigations. People interested in becoming an inquisitor must learn the arts of torture, as it is key to finding the truth.
Archmages – This Sect is lead by Dolwen of House Arefor of elven descent. Dolwen stands 5’3 with long flowing blond hair and blue eyes. The Archmages are responsible for the instruction of all magically touched mortals. Their Alignment is TN. The Archmages are responsible for passing down their knowledge of magic to their students and must look beyond the race of the student. Each month the Archmages are to send a report of all their students grades in to be reviewed. Archmages go through years of rigourous magical tests to become an member.
Haeknyce Guard – This sect of Veruun is responsible for the safe keeping of Haeknyce, School Of Wizards and its students within. They are lead by Vana of House Wertanthir a female Elf. She stand 5’3 with long flowing light brown hair and deep violet eyes. It is said that the guards must know 1 part fighting, 1 part magic, and 1 part vigilance. LN. Guards are expected to stay vigilant at all times. The ceremonies to become a guard are extremely rugged and will test each individuals patience to the extreme.
Storks – This sect is rarely seen. They are responsible for seeking out the chosen ones and to bring them to Neuschwanstein to learn the arts of magic. They are led by Bartil Koeriner a human mage of 6’2 with dark black hair. TN. Storks are expected to seek out the chosen ones all the time. Every 6 months they are expected to return in person to report their findings to Bartil. People wishing to become a Stork must show that they can find and locate magic anywhere.
