Mateki Taikan

Mateki Taikan is the CEO and owner of Azad Silk Company. She currently resides fulltime in Taramont in order to fullfil her duties as CEO.
Originally however she hails from the kingdom of Azad and still sees it as her home. She is a dragonborn like all people of Azad but she has gleaming golden scales.
She has a bubbly personality taking delight in tradition customs when meeting people including bowing, shaking hands and smiles all around.
She is known to treat her employees well even going beyond what most would consider reasonable to accommodate their needs. Famously she was the bearer of her own pallanquin after one of her guards who was carrying it hurt his back.
However, first appearances are not everything and Mateki did not climb to a position of power within Taramont nor become a memeber of the Merchant Guilds of Taramont by maing concessions to ease other peoples feelings. She weighs each decision that she makes but with a firm emphasis on the path that will create her the most personal success.
Her relationship with the two other leading figures in Taramont, Sardar Karmi and Remi Levet is amicable. Though she might not say it she does not agree with much of Sardar Karmi's methodologies and would oppose him if it served her well. However such a man holds a tight sway over the city and as of the present she has deemed it unwise to strike against him.
She is not alone in Taramont. Her friend and trusted advisor acompanies her, the solem Razron Ovrus.
