Sardar Karmi

Sardar Karmi is the human CEO and owner of Saqqat Company. It is no wonder, that a relatively obscure trader from the lands to the west, rose to become the most afluent merchant king in Taramont, when you understand the ruthless nature by which Sardar asserted his dominance.
He is cold and calculating and knows first and foremost that having the legal arm of the city under your control helps to increase profit margins. He has by far the most sway over the Tou-Faon and uses that advanatge in every way he can. It was only after the other Merchant Guild memebers forces his hand that he relucantly agreed to share control of the Tou-Faon. Even despite this he still was able to cling to those within the organisation most likely to aid him. Tou-Faon such as Quentis were able to achieve positions of authority despite a relative lack of experience just by siding with Karmi.
He also uses the Bureaucratic Affairs Department to further his own goals. He believes that if he has influence over these powerful legal bodies he will be able to slip though the cracks of bureaucracy and achive better results. Such as stance has paid off dividends as he has been able to use his leverage within the affairs department to broker the signing of several key contracts between the Saqqat Company and leaders of surrounding towns and villages with large production bases. One such agreement he has with the mayor of Walden Heights, Hohari, which essentially monopolies the Saqqat companies claim over gems and precious stone that are imported into the city from Walden Heights.
