Azad

Azad is an ancient dynasty of mostly dragonborn. It is graced some of the most fertile pastures in Katya and boasts the finest silk production in the world.
The people of Azad are intellectual and philosophical. Their leader is wise and inspirational. Unlike many of the other kingdoms about the world the Emperor of Azad is not chosen by the people or by blood. There is a game that very few other mortals are able to comprehend. It is highly strategic and mimics life itself. A firm grasp of the arcane, mystical nature of the world in addition to a keen intellectual, strategic brain while also strong sense of empath are required to win. Every 10 years a tournament is held and the winner becomes the new Emperor.
No one knows who created the game known as "Azad" but there has never been an incident of insurrection or significant insurrection against the Emperor.
