Torrent Carver

Powerful artifact associated with Jit, the primis lord of water, cold, and oceans.

According to history was crafted and forged by Jit in a secret location far to the north called the Frozen Forge. Putting a great deal of power into the tool, was intended as a tool, rather than a weapon and whenever a human wields the axe against another it seems to somehow cause equal amounts of damage to both parties involved.

Legends & Myths

In one specific tale a young general who had managed to purchase the axe rode into battle with it and slaughtered the enemy forces nearly single-handedly by blasts of deadly cold air and shields of ice that blocked the movements of his opponents. Miraculous as it was, that night after celebrating their victory a blizzard struck the generals' camp so quickly his men and all the their animals froze to death before they could find shelter or warmth. The general was the only survivor of the entire battle and left completely numb.

Significance

As a symbol of Jit the iconic axe is a powerful icon to all those who know it's origins. Most folk who recognize the tool will react as though they were in the presence of either an avatar of Jit or possibly even the primis himself. Whenever appears throughout human history it leaves a wake of icy death and carnage.

Appearance

The haft of this mighty, waraxe is made from heavily worn bone and has a stark white color. It's always deeply cold to the touch and has a frozen sheen across it's whole surface.

The massive cressent blade is translucient with a pale crystaline blue color and is affixed to the shaft with metal pins that have an odd green tint to them. The blade radiates cold air that can begin to feeze water within seconds. Obviously metaphysical, the ice-like blade has the appearance of old ice with sparse cracks throughout the clear crystal of the blade.
