Towering over everyone around him, Aldrek radiates a palpable sense of menace. With even the tallest humans and elves standing shorter than his broad chest, the deity of death is an imposing figure.

As the progenitor of the demo'rai; a mutated and powerful species of pervasively evil beings, Aldrek is often reviled or feared. In truth, however, he is a relatively benign presence overall and spends more time concerned with learning more about his own species and their mysterious origins. His worshippers are often fanatics but come from nearly any walk of life. There are many myths involving his constant scheming with his created minions, the Demo'rai.

Divine Domains

Death:

Aldrek is the primary deity linked to death and mourning the loss of life. This link isn't due to his darker personality and many people think favourably on his association to death, but consider the diety himself to be a bit of a brute.

Afterlife:

One of the only deities associated with another 'layer' of existence, Aldrek is believed to rule his own realm, Vacío Sagrado but very little is known about this 'afterlife' realm and most folk believe it's simply a far-flung region of Kaos, if it truly exists at all.

Cephalopods:

Strangely specific, Aldrek is closely tied to octopi and all related beasts. He has never felt the need to explain this association to mortals, even the most faithful of his followers are never given an answer if they inquire.

Over the centuries, individuals gifted in divination arcana and prophecy have several thoughts on where this comes from and many believe that his humanoid appearance is actually an illusions of some kind and his true appearance is closer to that of his favoured aquatic creature.

Divine Symbols & Sigils

All forms of cephelopod are considered icons of Aldrek and are sacred to his followers. His most recognized icon is that of a large, round-headed octopus and this is used by his followers as an icon of worship.

He's usually represented with warm yellows, dark orange and rich indigo tones.
