Love Waves

There are certain underground tremors on the world of Kataan that have recently come to be known as love waves because it has been discovered that they contribute to an increase in fertility rates among shrieking grounders, the small amphibious creatures commonly found in large numbers on Kataan. These love waves are actually micro seismic events that are part of the increase in seismic activity brought on by the wobble now that it has spread to all six of Kataan's moons and is becoming more and more pronounced all the time.
It was originally thought that the reason for the population explosion among shrieking grounders shortly after the original colonization of Kataan was simply due to the fact that they are prolific breeders and all of their natural predators were wiped out in the cataclysm that ensued when the four artificial moons were added to Kataan's two natural moons. However, it turns out that seismic activity has also been a contributing factor to the problem. You see, shrieking grounders live in networks of underground tunnels, so they are highly sensitive to ground vibrations, and apparently this affects grounder fertility rates. Scientists have found that male grounders change the pitch and frequency of their mating songs to harmonize with the love waves which, in turn, causes the females to lay more eggs, thus resulting in more baby grounders.
As the love waves have multiplied and grown stronger, the shrieking grounder population has continued to increase exponentially. It has been predicted that, even if every single person on Kataan begins having sautéed grounder for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, the entire world will eventually be overrun by shrieking grounders unless the UAG finally answers the colonists' appeal for help with realigning the orbits of their six moons to restore balance and eliminate the wobble. Of course, if they don't do something soon, everything will probably come crashing together in world-ending destruction and the shrieking grounders will be the least of their problems.
