Primals - The Begeted
Most Gods are Primals, meaning they have no persistent physical body and little power over the physical world without one. They are born from their worshippers' thoughts accumulated over time and as such are the only beings of The Merged Plane whose existence is almost entirely due to other beings. To counter their lack of control over the physical world most of them reside in places where the Nankaï concentration is abnormally high. Such places allow them to assume a perceptible spiritual form and to interact with the world in more concrete ways. From these places they mainly communicate with other beings via altars and artifacts. However, those powerful enough to create their own dimension exiled themselves in these to maintain a physical body and live in worlds where their power is immeasurable.
