Neýrima - The Dreamed's Stream

The Neýrima is the cult of the Kélyfos. Its name means the stream of the dreamed which refers to time. Its members worship a goddess named Anyrheía and her oracle, the Pýthia. They believe that most things happening in the universe is the result of a dream from their eternally sleeping goddess sealed in her Inner World : the Hýpmiro. As such they're used to incorporate myths and legends of other cultures by a particularly interesting syncretism which allows them to maintain good relation with these cultures.

Creation Myth

At first there was chaos. From this anarchy came the first living beings. Primordial creatures whose dreams were of foreseeability and stability. From these dreams came Anyrheía, a placid woman whose dreams would, in time, come true. To achieve her purpose she created the Flooded Dream, a place where she would sleep for eternity and where her dreams would be devoid of any influence, trapped in bubbles. Despite her isolation, something finally disturbed her slumber, something had found its way to her. Two little boys, twins, had accidentally entered her realm. Sensing no malevolent intent from the brothers she introduced herself and made them an offer that would also be a retribution for their mistake. They shall become her guardians. Two powerful entities that shall protect her and her dreams. Humble and honored, they acknowledged their trespass and accepted their punishment. As they took an oath to her she gave them each an artifact that would serve as keys to her realm. Two instruments of her creation which sounds could reach the dreams of all beings. To the nonchalant one she gave Psálróky, the Shallow Strings Of Dreams, from which her Meiriós would rise, and sent him to a tepid, luminous new dimension, Diáfrýni. His name was Gafrýnos. To the ardent one she gave Týmróka, the Deep Dreams Drum, from which her Keiriós would rise, and sent him to a chilly, dim new dimension, Diáthýni. His name was Gathýnos. Her new guardians ready to fulfill their oath she sealed herself with her Peirós and went back to sleep. Since then, The One Whose Dreams Come True was never disturbed again and her guardians never broke their vows.

Clerical Hierarchy

The Pýthia is at the head of the cult and takes all the decisions helped by the guidance of the Erístios who study the dreams in the Åthenæum and the protection of the Hýpolakos who guard the Hypaós. They are directly under her orders and are loyal to her and their tribe.

Places

Holy

Each dimension created by the goddess is sacred ground that should never be profaned. Also, these dimensions can be accessed by three sanctuaries which locations are unknown except from one, the Ávystopýli, discovered down Hypaós's foundations. The other two, the Paraliakopýli and the Thálassopýli, are still being looked for even though the Pýthia deeply disapprove these research.

Worship

The central edifice is the Hypaós, a gigantic convent where the Pýthia spend the vast majority of her time protected by her Hýpolakos. It is closed to public and is mainly known to contain Osore. The Vóneirís are the public places of worship which can be found in most inhabited areas.
