Krystosma - Crystalization Of The Soul

The Krystosma is a technique originally developed and used by Dórávyk masters to reinforce the crystals crimped in their gear. They used to graft some of their scales with these crystals and would then meditate longly in places with high concentration of Nankaï. Once done they would ungraft the upgraded crystals to crimp them one last time on their gear.
It didn't take mages long to understand the mecanism and find a way to use it to their advantage. They understood that the knights were reinforcing the crystals with their own soul. However, having no real control on their own energy, doing it in normal places would lead them to weaken dramatically and eventually kill them. Their places of meditation, rich in energy, allows them to regenerate their soul while using it to improve the crystals. Putting this understanding to good use, they perfected the method. To mages, crystals and meditating places are necessary no more. Indeed, their method implies using the natural crystallization of energy caused by soul overload. This way the crystal is almost pure energy and can be completed in multiple close sessions of meditation. The result of the process is an extension of the amount of energy the body can store without overloading, the crystals being the extensions. Powerful mages can also excrete the crystals, loosing the capacity advantage but gaining amazing stones to crimp their gears with.

The second is the composition, which impacts the complexity of the crystal.
Your options are : multiple or single essences.
Multiple essences means the crystal will be able to provide you with different ones.
Crystals produced this way looks more complex, each essences constantly moving in unpredictable patterns.
However, the quantity provided for each essence is inversely proportional to their number.
Also, the process get harder with the number of essences for they need to be in perfect balance.
Crystals made of a single essence tends to twinkle like starsky.


The third is the quantity, which impacts the relativity of the crystal.
Your options are : high or low quantity of energy.
An high capacity has downsides as big as the obviousness of its advantage.
Such crystal take far more time to produce and need a bigger overload which proved to be dangerous.
Both parameters, time and overload, are proportionnal to the desired capacity.

The last but not the least is the density, which impacts the purity of the crystal.
Your options are : high density or low density.
Thightly linked to the relativity of the crystal, the density's only drawback is its difficulty.
Dense crystal need a high level of concentration to limit its growth and prevent its destruction.
However, they provide many advantages : they are relatively smaller, harder and can store a lot more energy.
Also, their color are more intense and deep.


Once the choices made all you need to do is overload your body and canalize the crystallization according to them.
The process can be repeated to extend your capacity as desired.
