Dorpìre - The Powerful One
The title of Dorpìre was created just after the unification of the old Dachteine tribes to form the Domhainn. It is given to the strongest members of the tribe and is kept even in death. To be declared Dorpìre and take the head of the tribe, one must belong to it and challenge and defeat the actual leader. Once defeated, a Dorpìre can't lead the tribe again, however, they retain a strong power over the military forces of the tribe. If the current Dorpìre leaves his role of leader, contenders will be found and they'll have to try to fight him. If none of them succeed they must fight the previous Dorpìre and so on. If many contenders are ex aequo they have to fight in a tournament. Exceptionally, if none of them succeed in defeating at least one Dorpìre, all the living Dorpìre have to fight in a tournament, the winner will lead the tribe again.
