Captain Pericles Amun Vátrodotho (a.k.a. Sunstone)

Amun (né Pericles) Vátrodotho (called Sunstone by fellow guardsmen) is the patriarch of House Vátrodotho in the city of Umbar. As patriarch of House Vátrodotho--the house dedicated to Prámános the Golden--Amun is tasked with the role of peacekeeper as Sun Captain of the Copper Guard.

It was Amun who first accepted his child, Achilles, after he began developing masculine traits despite being assigned female at birth; Amun also helped choose his new name, Achilles, and pulled strings as Sun Captain to have every usage of Achilles' birth name purged from any and all city records. Amun never went so far as to teach magic to the child (as was taboo in Umbar's culture), but did ensure Achilles recieve any combat training he so desired.
