Guardsman Jonas Presley deGard (a.k.a. Elvish Presley)
Jonas "John" Presley deGard is a guardsman in the Copper Guard in the City of Umbar...d. He has no relation to the deGards in the City of Tirion.
As "Jonas" (and by extension "John") is a very common name, deGard frequently used his middle name "Presley" if clarification was needed. Upon joining the Copper Guard, however, he met another prominent guard named Presley deGard. Since other guards needed a way to distinguish between the two in conversation, they began to call John "Elvish Presley", as he a) was a Half-elf and b) John was a new recruit and an easy target for teasing.
