Avatar

Avatars are the physical representation of one of a particular god's aspects.   They are considered to be the total embodiment of the aspect's part of the god's being, as a way for the god to provide their domains with all the proper attention they each require. The Avatars each have names and personalities of their own (OOU, they're generally named after a Greek deity of similar responsibilities). While usually still humanoid, many of their forms have features of animals that are also seen as representing the part of reality they are most affiliated with.   For example: Artemis, Pasidhet's avatar of Twilight, is depicted as a humanoid woman with features resembling those of a wolf.   The avatars of the gods' chief or "prime" domains (with Matyuvet as the only exception), however, are represented as metallic dragons.   For example: Thraaket's avatar of his prime, Order, is depicted as the Golden Dragon, Prámános.   Matyuvet is unique in that their own form serves as the avatar of their prime, Trickery, whereas their other two domains, Death and Grave, are instead manifested as the fearsome Red and White Dragons (Dandes and Déskálítos, respectively).
