Physical Description

General Physical Condition

Hæðr is a powerful, sturdy woman, much stronger than the average. Her shoulders are broad, having grown wider than her hips as she’s matured, and her arms are strong, as are her legs.

Body Features

Hæðr is tanned, but still quite pale. Her body is rippling and strong, through years of training from a young age. Underneath her armor and clothing, Hæðr is riddled with numerous battle scars, gained from her short life as a Shield-maiden. The most important, however, is the scar that would set her on that course: this scar is the remnants of a fist-sized puncture wound on her lower abdomen.

Facial Features

Hæðr has a face that would (if life had allowed) befit her noble lineage. Her forehead is narrow, retreats, and runs parallel to her straight nose and her cheeks are thin but smooth. Her face is long and narrow, however less so than most of the Vörðr. She would be a beauty were it not for a number of scars: a small one on her lip, one across the bridge of her nose, and the largest runs from the tip of her hairline to the bottom of her jaw, where her left eye used to be.

Identifying Characteristics

According to her father, she used to have a small birthmark under her eye, before the scarring. On her upper back is a black tattoo of a winged wolf's head, the symbol of her clan and her mark as a Shield-maiden.

Apparel & Accessories

Hæðr is not the “dress to impress” type: she is almost never seen outside of her armor and when she is, she where’s a tunic that most women would be the common attire of a man. This is not a statement of any kind, just the most practical option to wear under armor. Around her neck, she wears a pendant symbol of Thønülrr , his ax and hammer.

Specialized Equipment

Her armor is that of a high noble’s make, with a steel lamellar cuirass and gambeson underneath. On her left shoulder is the head of a Vargr with the hide from the neck to the shoulders still attached. Hæðr is never without at least one weapon, usually her sword. On the battlefield, her primary weapon is the spear and a sturdy oak shield, but she also carries a one-handed ax and her sword, just in case
