White Shard

The White Shard of Houl has the ability to heal and refresh all those around the user. Its power, like all of the Shards, is subject of reverence to those who know of its true nature. Like the other Shards, it has the ability to "call" to someone nearby, should they be worthy of its power.
Only those with a truly devious nature can wield the gems true healing capabilities. It only allows itself to be activated by those who have served a terrible master, chosen a horrible fate, or done inexcusable deeds. This serves as a test for those who would use it - that life should be treasured above all else. However, should this powerful ancient piece of Kaldran technology choose someone (even someone darker), it is always for some greater good.
If the Shards were a human body, the White Shard would be the ribcage of the group - keeping all of the vital organs protected and safe. To be claimed by the White Shard is the greatest of honors to be bestowed on anyone following the Old Kaldran ways.
