Motivation
To Santiago, his traditions and ancestors got everything right, accept the cruel punishment of the Lorkin. He still seeks to uproot the "worship" of the Lorkin, but he would much rather let them live in peace if possible. This puts him at odds with most of his court, and sometimes even his advisors.

Santiago hates the worship of Lorkin, which the Vahlic Clans take to the extreme. He, like most Spanch people, seek to uproot the lies that people tell about the Lorkin being gods.

Santiago sees himself as an aspiring Ranger, although tradition dictates he never leaves the area surrounding Antonne in order to protect it, he has snuck out more times than not to explore the area. Because of this, he has a pet Panther named Myst that he has trained himself after finding in the forests around Antonne.
