Dragonborn with chromatic ancestry claim the raw elemental power of chromatic dragons. The vibrant colors of black, blue, green, red, and white dragons gleam in those dragonborn's scaled skin and in the deadly energy of their breath weapons. History
In times long past the majority of Dragonborn and dragonkin were part of the Fanged Empire, at the top was Tiamat herself, mother of all Chromatic dragons but beneath her were the chromatic dragonborn, followed by the metallic Dragonborn and then the lesser dragonkin such as Kobolds, Drakes and wyverns. Though many dragonkin were members of the Fanged Empire very few true dragons where members as chromatic dragons are often territorial and very reluctant to work together.
Chromatic Dragonborn made up the higher echelons of society within the Fanged empire serving as generals, high priests or other roles of leadership. The Chromatic Dragonborn would rule the fanged empire unimpeded for many years until the War with the Sinador Empire known as the Dragon Wars took place. This conflict would mark the Decline of the Fanged empire with the revolution of their forces at the end of the Dragon Wars as well as several revolutions following their after would leave the fanged empire a shadow of its former self and the Chromatic Dragonborn a shadow of their former glory as welll.
