Also known as "kingdom's edge", Haulder is a small fort-town straddling the southern pass of Valax's Cauldron.

Demographics

While most imperial cities are majority human, Haulder has a larger minority of Eladrin, most of whom are descendants of the Eladrin Isles.

Government

Haulder is a settlement under the Imperial Commonwealth of Emyr, run by the local mayor Rafel De La Caballería.

Defences

Haulder has a single, massive wall known as the "Still-Iron" that spans the narrow mountain pass. Built of reinforced steel and magically-warded stone, the Still-Iron provides a solid defense against any creatures from Valax's Cauldron that stray into the mountain pass where Haulder lies.
Haulder also has a sizable residency of bounty-hunters, which provide further defense from wild creatures encroaching into the town.

Industry & Trade

The most prominent trades in Haulder are shipping services and survival supplies. Being so close to Valax's Cauldron and being relatively safe from it's dangers make Haulder an attractive location for bounty hunters that fulfill orders for magical components. Some of these hunters go so far as to reside in Haulder full-time, shipping their orders to places like Valencia or Midgrove City, rather than delivering it themselves.

Haulder has several outposts for organizations such as the Hunter's Run, Fan's Haulers, and the Steelstriders.

Geography

Haulder is saddled within the narrow southern mountain pass of Valax's Cauldron. This range is where the heavily wooded and thicketed terrain turns to the milder and more manageable hills of the Northern Emyr Expanse
