The Wisdom of Zaira
The past is filled with pain, suffering, and death. The Disaster isn't the primary cause. We were already lost when that great cleansing occurred. The gods looked down upon our world and they knew it needed a fresh start. We are the survivors. The chosen. Let us free ourselves from these chains of the past, and forge a new path for all of Kaiter. We must create a new world, a better world, that is fully decoupled from the world of the past.
Purpose
Zaira Dawnheart wrote several essays and poems about the rebirth of Kaiter after the eruption of Mount Oacana. She argued that devotion to technology and flawed human philosophies had destroyed Kaiter, even before the eruption occurred, and that the survivors were chosen by the gods to "forge a new path."

Although printing processes were hard to come by in Eastern Amrisa, Zaira's followers produced many copies of the text by hand and distributed these widely through the Settlements. They are often read from it during community gatherings, especially during the yearly Festival of Rebirth.
