History of things to be organised.

1916 Ireland: Easter Rising, May raid, Pentecost Rebellion.   UK: Irish Rebellion gains steam, attempts to put it down are unsuccessful. Black and Tans created to allow for deployment of troops against rebels. Irish troops in Battle of the Somme refuse orders to attack. Battle cancelled afterwards. Mutiny extends to other Catholics in the Army. Protests back home against gov actions in Ireland.   Attempts to put down mutiny fail. Soldiers in Ireland defect to rebels, General Maxwell taken prisoner in Ireland. Derry falls to rebels. Black and Tans sack Wexford and Cork city. Drogheda repels attack by Black and Tans. Ulster Volunteers take up arms against the rebels, column defeated at Newry in an Ambush. Siege of Belfast begins in July.   September, truce negotiated with IRA, mutineers in army agree to fight again as part of truce but Summer campaign season has been lost. Attempts to make this up with winter offensives fail completely.   1917: Government of Ireland Act 1914 comes into effect. Ireland gains devolved government De Valera becomes first minister of Ireland. War still goes badly in Flanders but with success against the Ottomans. However in December Russia withdraws from the war   1918: With attempts to draw America in unsuccessful the western front sees little offensive action from Allies as middle eath theater proves more productive. Jerusalem, Bagdad, Damascus, and Antioch are some of the cities to fall that year. Ottomans negotiate peace in November 1918, but rest of central powers are unwilling to concede.   1919: with involvement in the Russian Civil War growing, the Germans launch Operation Archangel in March. Allied lines split at join between French and Empire forces near Amiens, the city falls with the British forced back towards the channel and the French to Paris in a rout. June: Ireland negotiates peace with Germany and withdraws its' troops. British protest but can do nothing about it. Summer: Further fighting in France; August; Verdun falls, Paris in September. French government asks for an armistice then collapses.   1920: negotiations drag on in Versailles. Eventually "Peace with Honour" signed on 28th June 1920.   1921: Peace treaty takes effect. Loss of most African posessions "sold" to Germany, South Africa becomes independent but remains in the commonwealth, gained Namibia after occupation during the war.   1926: June: union general strike spills over into revolution. Trade Union Congress takes control of Great Britain. Chairman Philip Snowden becomes head of state. August: Exiles begin to arrive in Canada, lead by Royal Family, Navy, Army, and other loyalists.   October: Unknown warrior is buried on Ottawa Cathedral   1936: June 10 annual TUC is due to begin, on the agenda are: dismal economic situation, restoration of civil liberties, coordination with France and Italian Socialist Republic for war with Germany.

    The Easter Rising
    Military action

    After years of preparation. The Irish Republican Brotherhood and it's ally organisations attempt a rebellion in Ireland. However the rebellion misfires when a decision to cancel the rising fails to reach Dublin in time. As a result, only the city rises, and is crushed a week later.
