Caelia, the Eventide (CAY-lee-uh)
Caelia is the Monarch of the Pillar of Night, reigning from the heavens and to teach that there is comfort in the gentle balance of light and darkness in moonlight.
Caelia's Doctrine
Caelia teaches that everyone deserves a second chance and that healing is a gift meant to be shared with all. It isn't uncommon to find Caelia's followers serving in places of plague, curses, or tragedy that secular doctors may avoid. She also teaches the importance of protection and empathy, and she is often called upon by expecting parents. However, she does not encourage entreating her for blessings and gifts; rather, she would ask that her followers are called upon to carry out her will. Temples to The Eventide are found all over the world, but her holiest places are glass temples on high mountain tops, the most famous of which is Nox Ecclesia.Lost Love
During The Celestial Age, Caelia was married to Jorith, a goddess of illusions, fear, and darkness. During The Exodus, they were divided by their ideals. They are now Monarchs of two different pillars, and Jorith takes great pleasure in undermining Caelia by breeding fear and doubt in her domain.Mother of Winter
Before the gods left Kairos, Caelia extended a peace treaty to The Anaphroc. From this pact came a child: Kira, who was to act as a sentinel guarding over the balance of the seasons. When Kira rebelled, Caelia did not oppose freeing her from her role, but Anaphroc did. This reignited the feud between Anaphroc and Caelia, but Kira was granted her freedom in the end. Now, Kira is Monarch of her own pillar, and Caelia and The Anaphroc rarely work together or communicate; there's no sign of their relationship ever becoming any less tenuous.
