Deltora

The country of Deltora is a small island nation. It was founded 1000 years ago by King Eon. Currently it is ruled by King O'mend and Queen Isabella Most people are aware that the true rulers are the Great Houses and Great Merchants. The houses control the parliament and the trade between cities and other nations. In the last hundred years there has been a rise of monsters appearing and harrassing travelers and even whole towns. Because of this the guard has been stretched thin. A new profession arose to fill the gap. Adventurers/monster hunters banded together to take the fight to the monsters while the guard defended the town and the army defended the borders.
