His people the Yulthar are a race of warlords, very clannish and powerful. His father was killed and his brother Tordan placed on the throne of his people by enemies, the Ahn, who want to profit from the natural resources of his people including the expensive spices. Thurimm had to flee for his life and resents that. He's currently leading a wastrel's life while secretly learning how this cold land works. He wants to go back and put things right. He's full of mirth and big emotions generally and seems to know no fear. His people venerate the spirit Yelm the desert Raven who is a cruel god.
