The Arrival

Era beginning/end

A mystical rift opens in a clearing on the soon to be named Jordnyr.  Humanity arrives and begins it's attempt to claim the planet as it's own.

The Arrival (some older documents refer to this moment as "the moment" or "the singularity" - A rift opens at the landing zone and humanity floods onto the planet they will call Jordnyr.  They are prepared and well equipped.  They move with the purpose and determination of people who are here to stay.  People fleeing an unknown armageddon from a (soon to be) forgotten land. As the people materialize in the rift opening, they quickly move themselves and their equipment out of the way. As quickly as they clear the opening, another person appears with their own assortment of equipment. The first ones through spread out around the landing zone looking out at this new world.  They are carrying odd looking staves as they look outwards as the rest of the newcomers arrive.  The whole process takes about sixteen (?) hours. And then the rift shutters and pops and disappears.  The landing zone is briefly quiet, is filled with the scent of ozone and an air of permanence.
