From your earliest memory you were told that this world is not your home. Your ancestors, the Founders, came to this world through a mystical portal from their home-world. They named their new world Jordnyr. All knowledge of the Founder's home-world has been lost to the passage of time.
Jordnyr, your home, is a dangerous place. Those of the Lore Caste delight in talking about the varied strange creatures, and the many ways they can kill a person. In short, all of the native fauna and much of the flora is deadly to humanity.
