Way of Three

The Way of Three is a dominant religious framework within Eastern Gerro, particularly influential in the Hadeo Valley and surrounding regions. It venerates a divine trinity known as the Three Brothers, the children of Sun and Earth. They embody distinct but complementary aspects of life and governance.

The Three Brothers: A Divine Trinity

At the heart of the Way of Three are the three deities—Gadoln, Ohena, and Loar—each representing core principles of society and mortal interaction. They are revered collectively as siblings, united in their governance of the world, yet individually worshipped for their distinct domains.   Gadoln , the God of Protection and Wisdom, is the eldest of the brothers. He is revered for his guardianship over both the physical and spiritual well-being of the people. He is often depicted as a shield-bearing figure watching over the world and the hearts of its peoples. His followers view him as the guardian of both knowledge and safety, often invoking his name in matters of defense, justice, and counsel. Temples to Gadoln are typically places of learning and refuge, where scholars and guardians seek his guidance.   Ohena , the God of Law, Civilization, and Leadership, is the middle brother and a central figure in the governance of society. He represents order, structure, and authority. The god is also seen as a mediator between the protective wisdom of Gadoln and the pragmatic enterprise of Loar. Rulers, judges, and civil leaders often look to Ohena for inspiration and legitimacy. Judicial ceremonies and public leadership rituals are performed in his honor. His tenets shape much of Northern Gerro's legal codes, and his influence can be seen in the organization of its cities and communities.   Loar , the God of Trade and Craftsmanship, is the youngest brother, and his domain is the most practical and immediate in daily life. Loar is the deity of commerce, artisanship, and the economic exchanges that sustain civilizations. Worship of Loar often occurs in bustling markets and among artisan guilds. He is regarded as the deity who promotes not just economic prosperity but also the skill and ingenuity required to build and sustain civilization. His followers believe that prosperity is a divine blessing and that fair trade, honest labor, and clever craftsmanship are sacred pursuits. Loar’s altars are frequently found near workshops and trade routes, and his festivals are marked by grand bazaars and the showcasing of the finest crafts. Worship of Loar is especially common among merchants, artisans, and those involved in trade along the Coastal Trail.   Together, the Three Brothers represent a divine trinity of interconnected aspects—wisdom, order, and prosperity—viewed as essential for maintaining a balanced and prosperous society
